Trilliums at Trowbridge Park -- May 17th, 2011
Trowbridge is only a few minutes from home so I try to make it there each spring to see the show of Trilliums. I made it up for an hour today. There are 1000s as usual. There are more pink ones there than any other spot I've been to this year-- a couple 100 scattered in amongst the white ones.
The time for Trilliums is nearing its end-- many are fading and starting to wilt.
There are 100s of Mayapples that the Trilliums compete with so in many spots the Trilliums are poking their heads up through a patch of them.
A small group of Marsh Marigold were in one of the wetter areas.
